Asia-Pacific Caucus for Tobacco Control
Reducing combustible tobacco products consumption to promote health equality in the Asia-Pacific
We are a group of public health experts and practitioners experienced in tobacco control. The currently available published, peer-reviewed, scientific evidence affords an opportunity for countries to implement policies to encourage people who smoke to switch to less harmful products as a complementary approach to existing tobacco control programmes. This will significantly increase the chances of people who smoke to successfully quit and reduce the country's burden of disease and mortality contributed by the use of combustible tobacco products.
